Necker Cubicle

We had another talk today by Prof. Pandu Rangan of IIT Madras (I dont know why I dont like to use ‘Chennai’). The talk was a one hour session and was really great. The topic of discussion was “Aha! Cryptography!”.

This man carry a lot of energy with him and has a lot of funny examples with him which actually convey the message and make students laugh.

The session was really good. I will stop with the first 2 sentences by Dr. Pandu Rangan today.

“They actually forgot to mention the most important part of my biodata. I am happily married to Sujatha and father of 2 girls”

I know it sounds creepy but I cant help saying that I wrote a poem!!! This one was for my friend. He was telling me about his love and how he is scared about proposing her and all. And the talk slightly took the path of proposing her that day itself (I felt good that I made him fall for my meaningless logics). I didn’t want him to quit the thought and wrote this out for him. And you know what, he actually send it to her and she liked it (that was quite a surprise for me though)… Well, as I am done with the prologue, here you have the poem…

Oh, My dear Megha…

Singing about you, I forget the raaga

Day or night, my heart murmurs the same

And that’s only your name..

There has to be a reason

That you fill my dreams without season

I digg my heart keenly

To know that I love you deeply…

PS: This is my second try in poem writing. And hence the heading.

UPDATE: The following is the feedback I had when I boasted about the poem to a friend.

The way you think and write, the poem should have started like,

Oh, My dear Megha….

Thinking about you, I forget Preetha..
