Happy Valentine’s Day

A couple of days back, in class, one of my friend asked me “What is Love? When do you know you are in Love?” - poor chap, he is cupid struck! But I could not give him an answer since I was not sure what to say. So here is it..

Love comes unexpected.. It is silly, unconditional, beautiful, unbearable, and the most wonderful feeling a living being can have. You can feel your heart, even it’s partitions when you are in love. You can see your heart flying out of you, breaking your ribcage, to someone whom you don’t even probably know.

Huh.. It is better I stop before I say, since the heart made a passage to the outer world, the liver, the kidney and the intestine also decided to have a tour, a shopping and an evening walk. :P

Ok, so to the post. Here I present the top 5 songs which comes to my mind when I think about Romance. ;)

1. Pehla Nasaha..

There wont be a single Indian who doesn’t love this song. This song has the freshness of Love. All crazy lovers should have sung this at least during their first love. This song carries the dew drop of love with it.

2.Mein Agar Kahoon..

This is a BEAUtiful song. It is filled with romance.. The music, lyrics and everything is simply wonderful. A great song to flatter any girl [;)]..

3. Maya jaalaka

I know there are a thousand (?) better old malayalam romantic songs than this. I don’t even know if the song is a romantic one or not. But I love this song and I feel that this song has got something romantic.

4.Ennum ninne poojikkam:

Another Malayalam song from the superhit movie, ‘Aniyathipravu’.Well, I dont know what I like the most about this song - it’s music, lyrics or the picturisation. What I meant to say is that it has all these three.. :)

5.Oru pushpam mathramen:

This is a gazal in Malayalam. I heard this song, for the first time, in Superstar (a reality TV show) when Sangeeth sung it. From then it is one of my favorites.

BTW, Happy Valentine’s Day
PS: Well, these might not be the best but these are the first five which came to my mind.. :)

Quotable quote..

A shoemaker who can turn out a strong, nice pair of shoes in the shortest possible time is a better man, according to his profession and his work, than a professor who talks nonsense every day of his life.

-Vivekananda

Exam blues

One good thing about NIT is the policy the professors (most of them) here follow for exam. Back in GEC days, the one with strong wrists and wild imagination had a better chance to score marks than the one who actually knew something about the subject. Marks were mostly given in accordance to the weight of the answer sheet (It is not the fault of GEC but Calicut University).

Over here, we are suppossed to write our answers in the four sheets provided (again, in most of the cases). And mostly, the answers wont exceed 2-3 sheets. Writing exam is not at all a pain (if you know the subject).

PS: Had my first mid-term (of this semester) last week.
