It is almost 2 months since I blogged. I am not going to give any explanations or justifications as you all know it is just my laziness. Well, I don’t have anything in my mind to write (and enlighten as usual :P) though. On second thoughts I will write some incidents happened in the past months which were new to me.
International Symposium on Biocomputing.
Our department hosted an ACM symposium on biocomputing and we (M-Tech students) were the volunteers of the program. The invited talks, paper presentations, cultural feista were all praised by the delegates, guests and the media but for me the best part of the symposium was the free five star food, from Kadavu resort. Working (seriously!) for the symposium was fun, checking the format of the papers, talking with american and chinese professors, etc.. and an unique experience.
JEST.
For those who don’t know, it is an entrance exam for IMSc (Institue of Mathematical Science) and similar institutes. JEST is the first entrance exam with descriptive questions that I have written and I did enjoy writing it. The exam was in Cochin (CUSAT) and hence it was the least priority item in the list. Met some old friends in Cochin and had some great time with them. A special thanks to Shalini (and her family) for the wonderful lunch.
Wearing the cruel examiner’s suit.
I was always against copying and the most I did against it was arguing with friends, till recently. I had this assistantship in the lab last week and found that majority had plagiarized code with them. The cold blooded cruel me made sure that they got the lowest possible grade.
Reading Malayalam Books.
Recently, I am getting great reviews about my malayalam blog like “Your malayalam blog is so very substandard like your english blog” “It is a wonderful idea not to publish your malayalam articles” etc..
So, I decided to improve my malayalam writing skills and moved on from books like Bobanum Moliyum and Balarama to classic (!!) malayalm literatures. I got hold of some books from library and finished Odayil Ninnu and VKN Kadhakal.
you are welcome
you could have used each one as a separate article.. I think you could have talked more on ISB and Cochin..
Shal
I am sure that VKN would have helped you a lot
@ Shalini
I know.. but I thought it to be boring (to read)…
@ Vayannakkaran
